Oprah's journey to success is a true rags to riches story. She was born and raised to a single mother in Mississippi and became the first female African-American news anchor at the age of 19. She has been ranked one of the richest African-Americans, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and is North America's first multi-billionaire African American woman.

Oprah Winfrey Show Notes

Buying Oprah Tickets From A Ticket Broker

The Oprah Show would like us to point out that Oprah Show tickets are always free and you should never pay for them.

It may, however, take you a few hours to get thru on the ticket hotline because of constant busy signals, but they don't really care about that. As a solution to the problem of constant busy signals, ticket brokers in Chicago can get you a ticket quite easily, so you don't have to spend endless hours of your time on the phone - In fact this was the only way we could get a ticket to the Oprah Show.

We did a test where three of our staffers spent 2 hours each trying to get tickets to the Oprah Show on the Oprah Ticket hotline. Each staffer had two phone lines and used the auto-redial continuously after getting a busy signal. You would think that with that amount of dedication we would have been successful, but alas we were not. Obviously with our TV show contacts we could have just called the line producer directly to get tickets, but that would have been cheating - and that's not an option for you.

In the end, we called a Chicago ticket broker and they managed to get us 2 tickets to the Oprah show in 2 minutes flat, for the grand sum of $40. So it is clear that ticket brokers are a far better bet than using the Oprah Ticket Hotline - Something Oprah Winfrey doesn't like, but it is in fact a reality.

If you have endless hours and patience to waste then please go ahead and use her phone line. As far as the ticket brokers are concerned, please don't ask us who the ticket brokers are, Oprah may sue us - Look in the Chicago phone book under ticket brokers and tell them we sent you.

The Oprah Show Popularity

Not surprisingly, demand for Oprah tickets far exceeds supply, especially after the Pontiac car giveaway where GM gave away 276 Pontiac G-6 sport sedans to Oprah's audience - valued at 7 million dollars.

Although it was a great short-term win-win for both parties, it may make the Oprah Show seem like a charity show, many people see it as a sign of the end of the show and she is giving back to her fans before she closes up shop.
